The Town may feature community events on its website and social media channels at its discretion. Events must demonstrate a connection to Aylmer and reflect respect, inclusivity, and community values. Event listings may be accepted if they fall within the following categories:
Eligible Events (subject to approval):
- Civic promotions
- Public awareness campaigns
- Charitable fundraising campaigns
- Arts and cultural celebrations
- Events recognizing individuals or organizations for special achievements
Ineligible Events:
The Town will not feature or promote events that fall into any of the following categories:
- Events involving matters of political controversy
- Events organized by political parties, partisan groups, or politically affiliated organizations
- Events organized by or promoting organizations that advocate hatred, violence, racism, or discrimination of any kind
- Religious services or events that are primarily religious in nature
- Events or organizations with no clear connection to the Town of Aylmer
- Events that conflict with Town by-laws, policies, or that could pose a reputational risk to the Town
- Campaigns or events intended to influence government policy or decisions
The Town reserves the right to approve or deny event postings at its sole discretion.
