Aylmer Town Hall Tower Clock Restoration Project

Members of the London Clock Club, Chapter 92,worked very diligently to restore the Aylmer Town Hall Tower Clock. The Club entered its restoration of the Town Hall Tower Clock into the crafts competition at the National Association of Watch and Clock Collector's National Convention in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The category was entitled "Institutional & Public Clocks Restored by a Chapter". The five members of the Club volunteered many hours of their time into this project. A booklet was compiled which references the steps taken to enable the clock to run and strike once again. The combined teamwork of the Club won them FIRST PLACE in this category.
At its Council meeting held on September 14, 2009, Town Council received a copy of the booklet, the display and the First Prize Banner. Town Council, Staff, residents and visitors to Aylmer, thank the Club for their hard work on this project. Congratulations! Listen to the sound - it is marvelous to hear again!
