Carnegie Library

Built in 1912 in the Edwardian style and the Town's Library for 70 years, it was but one of many financed by a grant from U.S. Steel magnate, Andrew Carnegie.

Rusticated cement block, finely mortared red brick, and concrete lintels are typical of the style. The classical and Egyptian features about the door are unique. The building now houses the State Farm Insurance office.
