On Monday June 7,2010 an official proclamation was passed at the Town of Aylmer's council meeting.
Mayor Bob Habkirk proclaimed "Wednesday June 23 and July 21,2010 as 'Company's Coming to Aylmer Day' and furthermore, that everyone be encouraged to take a few minutes between the hours of 11:00am and 12:00noon to do a 'clean sweep' around their home, business, industry, church, school, park, street ... and that all litter be bagged and set out on their regular collection day."
