Proclamations are an excellent way of providing important information to the public about initiatives, many of which may be local, provincial-wide, Canada-wide, or international. Proclamations are issued at the discretion of the Mayor, supported by Council. All proclamation requests are reviewed on an individual basis.

Proclamation requests may be submitted by mail, fax, or email to the Town Council via the Town Clerk. The request will be placed on a Council Agenda, will then be considered by Council, and if approved, the proclamation will be posted on the Town's website and on the Town's bulletin board located at Town Hall.
